Terms of service

By Tapas Kar, founder · Last updated 2 October 2026

Meenira is a subscription phone-call service for families. The first month is free; after that you pay monthly and can cancel at any time. Meenira is not a doctor and not an emergency service, and must not be relied on as either.

The service

Meenira (“we”) rings the person you set up (“your parent”) by telephone, at the times and on the days you choose, in the language you choose, has a short conversation, and sends you a written summary afterwards. Meenira is an automated assistant, not a person. We say so to your parent on every call.

What Meenira is not

Meenira is not a medical service, not a doctor, and not an emergency service. She does not diagnose, give medical advice, or interpret reports. If something on a call sounds wrong she tells you quickly so that you can act; the decision, and the call to a doctor, a neighbour or the emergency services (108 or 112 in India), is yours. Do not rely on Meenira to detect or respond to an emergency.

Who may use it

You must be an adult, and you must have your parent's agreement to be called. We ask your parent for that agreement directly, by a code sent to their phone, before any call is placed. If your parent asks us to stop, we stop.

Price and payment

The first month is free: two calls a week, eight in all. After that the price is ₹300, ₹500 or ₹800 a month depending on how often she calls, as shown on the pricing page. Prices include GST. You are billed monthly in advance. We may change prices with thirty days' notice to you.

Cancelling

You can pause or stop the calls at any time from your Home page, in a tap, with no reason to give. Stopping ends the subscription at once; you are not charged again. Stopping also deletes the notes we hold, as described in the privacy page.

Your responsibilities

Give us a number that belongs to your parent, keep your own number current (it is where alerts go), and do not use the service to harass, monitor against their wishes, or deceive anyone.

Our responsibilities and limits

We will run the service with reasonable care and skill. We cannot guarantee that every call connects (phones are switched off, networks fail), that every summary is complete, or that every concern is noticed. To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid us in the three months before the claim.

Data

How we handle your parent's words is set out in the privacy page, which forms part of these terms.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; we will tell you if the change matters. These terms are governed by the laws of India. Questions: [email protected].
